Nikon SMZ25 | Core Research Facilities

Nikon SMZ25

Nikon’s SMZ25 stereomicroscope combines macro and micro imaging in one instrument for convenient viewing and manipulation of single cells to whole organisms. The stereomicroscope is equipped with two cameras allowing acquisition of both fluorescence and bright field pictures.

There are 4 filter sets for Epi-florescence:

DAPI, GFP, CY3, and CY5.

We installed a stage that allows the capturing of large images, covering 150mm x100 mm dishes (for example 96 well, 24 well, 6 well dishes).

There is a micromanipulation station adjacent to the stereomicroscope allowing the injection of dyes/reagents and following their location/influence on the specimen.
