Nikon’s A1R+ confocal microscope enables capturing of high-quality confocal images at ultrahigh-speed and enhanced sensitivity. The A1R+ has a hybrid scanner head that incorporates both an ultrahigh-speed resonant scanner (up to 420 fps 512 x 32 pixel frames per second) and a high-resolution galvano scanner (from 64 x 64 up to 4096 x 4096 pixels). Simultaneous photo-activation and ultrafast imaging using these two scanners allow acquisition of rapid changes after photo-activation and enables observation of intermolecular interaction.
The A1R confocal is mounted on a fully automated inverted Nikon Ti2 microscope. A Nikon Perfect Focus System (PFS) is included that continuously determines the distance to the sample.
Life cell imaging is possible because the system is equipped with an on-stage incubation chamber controlling temperature, CO2-concentration and humidity.
The A1R confocal is equipped with four standart fluorescence detectors (PMT) and has two high-sensitive GaAsP-detectors for standard and spectral imaging.
