Ultracentrifuge Optima L-90 K

The Beckman Coulter Optima L-90K is a high performance ultracentrifuge. Designed to offer efficiency and versatility. The performance capability of this floor system allows for more separations in less time. We maintain a wide variety of rotors, for some we have duplicates to provide the flexibility of having two users centrifuging with those rotors at the same time. Rotors are located in the glass door refrigerator in the nearby room. Below is a list of available rotors. The CRF has some tubes available for you to use with the ultracentrifuge, please consult the person in duty for more details.

General Specifications:

Maximum speed: of 90,000 RPM, 694,000 x g.
Set speed: 1000 rpm to maximum speed in increments of 100 rpm.
Set time: Up to 99 hours and 59 minutes; HOLD for runs of unspecified length.
Set temperature: 0 to 40°C in increments of 1°C.

The centrifuge is located in Room 7B, Building 4 Level -1.

Rotors available for this centrifuge:

Rinse rotors with DDW after use and dry upside down. When dry return the rotor to the refrigerator.
